DESCRIPTION: Peter Allison speaking to camera in 1992

"If you want to try to understand how an organism lived, if you want to reconstruct it, you've got to be able to understand what environment it lived in. Previously everyone thought all of these organisms lived elsewhere and were transported in. Everybody had the idea that you had to have anoxia to have fossil preservation. We now know that's not the case. So some of these organisms could have lived here, and that would affect the way that they are reconstructed, potentially."
